The Merlin selection process enables us to identify the right people to join our business, but it also enables you to decide if Merlin Entertainments is right for you.

The application process for the 2009 scheme is now closed. We will be accepting applications from April 2010 for the '10 graduate intake with assessment and selection taking place in May and June.  The programme will commence in September 2010.

You can register your interest by completing our online form from October 2009 and we will communicate with you when we open the application process.

Our straightforward online application system means you can submit an application quickly and easily. We want to know about your degree and other qualifications as well as any practical work experience you have gained through part time, gap year jobs or work placements. Included in the application are a number of competency based questions and a personality profile - these elements are used as part of our screening process to determine which candidates are the best fit for the Merlin brands.

Application Screened
We will acknowledge receipt of your application via email, and you will usually hear from us again within 14 days. Our preferred methods of communication are via email and telephone.

Assessment Centre
We invite our graduates to inspire us at one of our assessment centres which will be held towards the end of June. This allows you to demonstrate the key skills that we are looking for through a very interactive process.

Our assessment centres are designed to be fun and informal to give you the best opportunity to actually demonstrate your strengths and skills.

The main part of our assessment centres will be group-based and you will be participating in tasks and exercises along with other applicants. You will also be asked to complete some individual exercises i.e. verbal and numerical reasoning.

Our only advice is for you to be yourself, relax and enjoy the day and most importantly get involved!

Interview
If successful, the final part of our selection process will be your 1 to 1 competency based interview with one of our Senior Managers. This will be the final opportunity to shine and also to ask all of your burning questions.

Outcome
You will usually know the outcome of your application within 10 to 14 days of attending an interview, and we will communicate the outcome via email or telephone. We truly believe in giving candidates the opportunity to learn from their experiences and therefore will be happy to provide full verbal feedback for any candidates who reach the assessment stage.
