What is the salary?
Merlin Entertainments offers a starting salary of £19,500 per annum plus a range of exciting benefits.

What qualities do you look for in successful applicants?
Our ideal applicants will bring the drive and energy to ensure the graduate scheme is successful for both yourself and the business. Flexibility, commitment and mobility are essential within this fast-paced business and therefore you must be willing to embrace change.

Do you require a minimum degree class?
Yes, candidates are required to have an undergraduate degree with a 2:1 classification as a minimum or an equivalent international qualification. Candidates who have yet to complete their studies, but whose predicted grades meet the above criteria are also welcome to apply.

Will Merlin Entertainments Group help me get a work permit?
The onus will be on the applicant to obtain the appropriate documentation to work in the UK.

What is the development plan?
The development programme is very interactive with a range of events and modules. You will focus on teamwork, marketing, people management, networking skills and many more. These skills will be developed through secondments within both frontline and supporting departments across the business, in order to broaden both business acumen and self-confidence. During this time your performance will be continually evaluated.

Will I only work at one attraction?
No, the programme is so unique that you will have a variety of real jobs at various attractions. These on the job roles are essential to support the growth of your business knowledge.

Can I choose where I will be based?
As part of the programme you should be willing to travel nationally and internationally for a minimum of 3 months at a time. We will help with your accommodation for these 3 month secondments.

How would my performance as a graduate be monitored?
You will have your own performance development plan, with regular manager reviews as well as coaching from both local and group training managers.

What happens during my induction?
Your induction will give you a great insight into our business, culture and values. It kick starts your journey by mapping out your individual development path, and introduces you to your graduate colleagues across the group.

What happens at the end of the scheme?

Can I apply for deferred entry?
Online applications will be accepted for our 2010 scheme early next year, however you can register your interest from October and we will contact you when we are accepting applications.
