Our Magical Teammate this week is Cassie Fairclough, General Manager for our cluster of attractions in Arizona.

Cassie started her Merlin career in 2010 as an education host, when SEA LIFE Arizona first opened! She spent six years here, expanding her skillset and developing her knowledge, across various roles.

When LEGOLAND Discovery Centre opened in Arizona in 2016, there was an opportunity for Cassie to step into the role of Trade Sales Coordinator. She describes this career move as a standout moment in her development and thanks her managers for supporting her:

“My General Manager and the Marketing Manager at the time took a huge leap of faith in me that I would be able to learn a whole new facet to the business quickly and be able to build and grow our local trade”.

In 2019, Cassie progressed once more to the role of Operations Manager and led the team through the COVID-19 pandemic and recovery, before landing her current position as General Manager of the Arizona Cluster.

This is Cassie’s advice for someone wanting to progress in their role: “Take the leap! Don’t pass up an opportunity because you don’t think you are ready. Believe in yourself and your growth potential, just like your managers and mentors do.” 💜
