Women in Merlin: Isolde Sun

As we continue to shine a light on the #WomeninMerlin, we spoke to Isolde Sun, our Marketing Manager in Beijing. Here's what she had to say about her Merlin Journey...

I joined Merlin on 1st November 2017 as a Marketing Manager, with the hope of balancing work and life, quality time with my husband and baby girl. In particular I wanted my daughter to grow up with the brands I work on, as they have huge educational value: Little Big City tells the story of 1000 years history in interactive way. LEGOLAND Discovery Centre encourages playful learning and Madame Tussauds inspires people through the power of models.

Time goes by fast in Merin - it has been nearly 4 years! Now I am proud to say that I love what I do here in Merlin and I am very proud to tell my 4-year-old girl that it is fun! 

As she grows up, she shows bigger interests in my work, we talk about the Forbidden City campaign of Madame Tussauds and Little Big City. I took her with me to the event of  “join us to project the green peacock ” in LEGOLAND Discovery Centre. Gradually, I hope she can understand what I am doing: I am a student of my own life, and try to show her by example “how to be yourself in the best way possible”.

I really appreciate Merlin’s “All Together” value, especially as it encourages flexible working hours; this helps working mom a lot! Although I myself am still very young, to my sisters in Merlin, I would say: work hard, play hard!
